The presentation of 13 new buses belonging to the Municipal Transport Company in Bolesławiec took place on Friday, June 22, at the company’s headquarters. The date was not chosen by chance. Starting tomorrow, Saturday, June 23, everyone will be able to travel on MZK buses around the City of Ceramics completely free of charge.
The new vehicles of the Municipal Transport Company are low-floor and adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. They have designated spaces for transporting bicycles and meet low-emission exhaust requirements.
In total, the purchased buses will be able to carry around one thousand passengers. The cost of purchasing the new buses was nearly PLN 12.8 million, with as much as PLN 8.85 million coming from funding under the Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
Waldemar Wlazło from Solaris presented the mayor with a symbolic key and a plush dachshund, the company’s mascot. The mayor of the City of Ceramics gave the key to MZK head Piotr Roman Andrzej Jagiera.
The mayor emphasized that everyone can travel on MZK buses for free, not only Bolesławiec residents.
