Michałek Surowiecki is 3 years old. When he was a year and a half, he received a children's computer. Thanks to it, he began learning the alphabet and simple words. He became completely absorbed in it. – We walked through the city with him, and he looked at every banner. He asked: “What letter is that? What word is that?” – Mrs Magdalena, the boy's mother, told the IstotneInformacje.pl portal.
Michałek began leafing through encyclopedias and saying aloud the names of people appearing on television. – We knew he couldn't know people with names like that – Michałek's mother says with a smile.
His parents' first reaction? Amazement and disbelief. – At first, it seemed to us that he simply remembered certain things. Basically, no one believed us that our son could already read – says Mrs Magdalena. Everything changed before Christmas. The Surowieccy family drove up to one of the hypermarkets in Bolesławiec. Their son got out of the car and said: “Today, live carp is on promotion.” – We were hugely impressed – adds Michałek's mother.
For his third birthday, the boy received a children's Scrabble set. His parents read to him every night. – We read him a fairy tale, and at some point he says: “Now I'll read something” – Magdalena Surowiecka laughs.
Michałek has already made his first public appearance. During a preschool ceremony for Grandmother's Day, the 3-year-old read “Murzynka Bambo” aloud. – The room fell silent – says Mr Mariusz, the boy's father.
Recently, Michałek has become fascinated by numbers. But, as Mr Mariusz emphasizes, no one forces his son to do anything. – We want him to have a normal childhood – he assures us, adding that the boy loves football. He supports Manchester United, but also likes playing himself. – He is very good at that too – says Mrs Magdalena.
