On 13 June, a meeting with seniors was held at the Day Care Home in Bolesławiec. It was attended by young people from the Construction School Complex and a police officer from the Bolesławiec police headquarters.
“Students, under the supervision of teachers, presented their grandparents with a moving artistic performance, which was rewarded with thunderous applause,” say officers from the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters.
The police officer, as part of the “Model Senior” prevention programme, reminded attendees about scammers’ methods and warned seniors not to give any money to strangers.
During the meeting, seniors from the Day Care Home watched a film prepared by students of “Elektronik”. (The film was recognised in the provincial competition “Grandma, Don’t Give Away the Money—This Is Not a Police Operation”).
During Wednesday’s meeting, the young people were reminded of the principles of safe behaviour near water, while seniors were asked to pass this information on to their grandchildren.
