A Little History
Lwówek Town Hall was formerly the seat of the city authorities and the court. Today, it hosts cultural events such as exhibitions, conferences and concerts. It is also a meeting place for the city authorities and residents. However, the Town Hall’s interiors are known from history as a center of social life. From 1960 to 1990, it housed the unforgettable “Rycerska” Café. In bygone times, the venue offered good cuisine in a representative building. It hosted celebrations for workplaces, Christmas parties for children and dance evenings that became legendary. To this day, the heyday of Rycerska is remembered not only by locals, but also by people from all over Poland who had the opportunity to visit it. Lwówek Śląski was known throughout the country for brewing and the “Rycerska” Café.

The unforgettable café, now a restaurant, has come back to life. Once again, it is a meeting place for residents—a place where you can enjoy good coffee, eat well and have a great time. It is a place where Lwówek Śląski welcomes visitors and tells them the history of this place through the flavors of regional dishes.
