A Bit of History
Lwówek Town Hall was formerly the seat of the town authorities and the court. Today, it hosts cultural events such as exhibitions, conferences and concerts. It is also a meeting place for town authorities and residents. However, the Town Hall’s interiors are known from history as a centre of social life. From 1960 to 1990, it housed the unforgettable “Rycerska” Café. In bygone days, the venue offered excellent cuisine in a representative building. It hosted celebrations for workplaces, Christmas parties for children and dance evenings that became legendary. The heyday of Rycerska is still remembered not only by local residents, but also by people from all over Poland who had the opportunity to visit it. Lwówek Śląski was known throughout the country for brewing and the “Rycerska” Café.
