For several years now, the event has enjoyed unwavering popularity among parishioners and residents of Bolesławiec. The festival will begin at 2:00 p.m. The program includes performances by artists from Bolesławiec, including the “Mały Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble, the “Szyszak” Karkonosze Folk Ensemble from Jelenia Góra, as well as numerous competitions and games.
During Saturday’s festival, visitors will be able to sample baked goods and traditional Polish cakes, and enjoy grilled sausage, kaszanka, pork neck, military-style sour rye soup, bread with lard, pierogi, croquettes, ice cream and many other delicious dishes.
Children will be able to take part in sports competitions and enjoy a play corner, table hockey, face painting and braid making. The festival program also includes raffles, auctions and competitions featuring prizes such as a 50-inch television, vouchers, attractive trips, household and consumer electronics, and tablets.
The proceeds from the festival will be used to fund a statue of St. Michael the Archangel in the parish church. “We cordially invite everyone,” the organizers say.
