Columns of US Army vehicles have finally reached their destination, according to the profile of 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. Bolesławiec residents will certainly breathe a sigh of relief. Over the past few days, the convoys traveling through the city have been a nuisance not only for drivers but also for people living along the route. All the more so because each column was escorted by the police and military police using flashing lights and sirens.

In the near future, the movement of American troops through the city’s streets will certainly not be as intense, but it will not stop entirely either. Soldiers from the US Army’s 3rd rotation are stationed at the Bolesławiec garrison. We can expect heavier traffic after the end of the Saber Strike – 18 exercise, which will continue until June 15 at training grounds in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. At that point, American troops will return to Germany, probably along the same route they took to the exercise.
