The race, whose first edition was held in 2017, will open the series of events connected with this year’s Week with Bolesławiec County, somewhat in place of the “big” RUNdka with Bolesławiec County (the “small” RUNdka remains and its sixth edition will take place this year). The competition is co-financed by Bolesławiec County and the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The race will be held in a street-criterium format—extremely attractive for spectators and fans! Cyclists complete a specified number of laps of a short circuit, earning points each time they cross the start/finish line, known in cycling jargon as the “line.”
This year’s criterium route will be exactly the same as last year’s. It will begin on Sierpnia ’80 Street and continue along Asnyka, Bielska, Tyrankiewiczów, Karola Miarki, Bankowa and Głowackiego streets, returning to the starting point on Sierpnia ’80 Street. Depending on their category, competitors will complete the 1,700-metre circuit 12, 9 or 6 times.
Unfortunately, the competition will cause minor traffic problems in the area of these streets, but the Organizers, together with the Bolesławiec Police and security services, will do everything possible to make them as little disruptive as possible. The difficulties will last approximately 3 hours.
