This Friday, 27 February, Forum cinema will screen “Popiełuszko. Freedom Is Within Us”, directed by Rafał Wieczyński. The leading role is played by Adam Woronowicz. The film also features, among others, Joanna Szczepkowska, Jan Englert, Zbigniew Zamachowski and Krzysztof Kolberger.
The film about Father Jerzy Popiełuszko is an excellent history lesson. It portrays the clergyman against the backdrop of the dramatic political events unfolding in Poland in the 1980s. BOK is organising morning screenings for schools. On Thursday, 5 March (at 8:00 and 11:00), the film screening will be preceded by a lecture by Dr Tomasz Gałwiaczek from the Institute of National Remembrance.
