The formal signing of the cooperation agreement took place during Thursday’s session of the County Council. Dariusz Kwaśniewski, a member of the Bolesławiec County Board, spoke. “Above all, we would like cultural life in our county to flourish with the help of the people associated with Via Sudetica,” he said. “There are situations and events that officials cannot organize perfectly. That is why we would like enthusiasts and hobbyists to help us—people who do it out of genuine passion.”
What does this agreement mean for the association? “It will certainly make purely technical matters easier for us; thanks to the District Office, we will know whom to contact in a specific matter,” Paweł Apanasewicz, vice-president of Via Sudetica, told IstotneInformacje.pl. The office will provide VS with both substantive and financial assistance. “The county has funds for culture, while we have people who know the field,” the association’s deputy head added.
Via Sudetica is to co-participate in the year-round project of Bolesławiec County, “Flavours of Culture,” and on 8 March, an event in the style of the 1920s and 1930s, organized by the District Office and VS, will take place at Concordia Gallery.
