Representatives of I Liceum Ogólnokształcące prepared an event for middle-school students. This year’s guiding theme was “Future Factory.” As Irmina Nowak, the supervisor of the Student Council, told us, the school’s leading product is the matura exam, and I LO knows how to “sell” this product. After all, knowledge is a kind of product that one must reach for; it will not come to us on its own.
On Tuesday, April 24, more than 130 middle-school students from Bolesławiec, Lwówek Śląski, Nowogrodziec, Wykroty and Węgliniec visited the first school. The students had the opportunity to take part in four workshops:
- language workshops (charades)
- a humanities-and-Polish factory of facts
- a house factory (a building project prepared in the computer lab was mathematically calculated and built)
- a biological manufactory (food chains).
At the end, the middle-school students had the opportunity to see I LO’s talent factory. In the sports hall, the school’s students presented their musical and dancing skills. (The event will continue on Wednesday).
Here is what two students of the Jana Pawła II Middle School in Lwówek Śląski and a student of the Middle School in Węgliniec have to say about I LO in Bolesławiec:
