On the evening of February 21, police officers received a report about a crying child. When they arrived at the scene, it turned out that the 3-year-old boy was being cared for by his 47-year-old grandmother. The officers detected the smell of alcohol on her. However, the woman refused to take a breathalyzer test.
A doctor who was called to the scene determined that the boy had only minor scratches. The three-year-old was taken to an emergency care facility. Investigators are awaiting the results of the blood test. If it turns out that the child's grandmother was drunk, she may face criminal liability.
