The start of this scenic and quite demanding half marathon for runners took place on Zamkowa Street in Legnica. Mayor Tadeusz Krzakowski wished the participants strength of spirit during the race.
The runners had to cover 21 kilometres and 97.5 metres. The route was full of long straight sections, as well as some substantial uphill climbs. Gusty wind made things no easier for the runners. More than a hundred of them did not reach the finish line.
The 3rd Battle of Legnica Half Marathon was won by Bolesławiec resident Kamil Makoś. CONGRATULATIONS!
At the finish line in Legnickie Pole, all the runners received commemorative, impressive medals, which were hung around their necks by, among others, Legnickie Pole Mayor Henryk Babuśka, Mayor Tadeusz Krzakowski and Zdzisław Tersa, head of Kunice.
The race was organised by the ZAWISZA Association – Association of All-Round Activity and Definitely Amateur Sports. Mayor Tadeusz Krzakowski took honorary patronage over the event.
