The publication addresses the activities of the State Security Service in Bolesławiec and continues the book published in 2012, entitled “We Are All Manual Workers… Public Security Office in Bolesławiec (1945–1956)”. The meeting was moderated by Prof. Grzegorz Strauchold, PhD hab.Grzegorz Strauchold.
The publication is the result of many years of academic research conducted by Prof. Robert Klementowski. The author thoroughly examined hundreds of files and documents, on the basis of which this publication was created.
The work is divided into three parts. The second part is devoted to the activities of the State Security Service in Bolesławiec in 1957–1975: the social situation and manifestations of resistance up to the mid-1970s, securing the economy, operational activities targeting the Catholic Church and other denominations, counterintelligence protection of the area in 1957–1975, revisionism and wartime legacies, and the Ukrainian issue.
The third part discusses organisational changes in the State Security Service during 1975–1983, the State Security Service section of the RUSW in Bolesławiec in 1983–1990, as well as counterterrorism efforts and the operational case codenamed “Anarchia”.
