The idea of Bolesławiec cyclists – the Xtrabike Cycling Club and Bikestacja-Fitwheels, financed from the civic budget program “Active Lower Silesia” – will reach its finale on a revitalized track in the “park forest” near Piastów Street/Tysiąclecia Street. This is the track where, many years ago, highly popular MTB cycling competitions organized by Bolesławiec’s Cyklosport took place.
Over the past few months, a track has been created whose complete lap is approximately 3.6 km long. The track has the “ambition” of meeting the requirements of “Olympic” XC – we can find technical downhill and uphill sections, natural obstacles, and artificially created features, including a so-called rockgarden and the “RIO” section, consisting of tree trunks of large diameter laid crosswise. The exceptionally well-marked track poses no difficulties even for riders using it for the first time.
Tomorrow, Saturday, 10 March, the penultimate official track ride before the competition will take place. It is an opportunity for cyclists to ride all sections of the track together, sharing observations on safety measures and ways of tackling its sections and obstacles. One of Poland’s most popular cycling bloggers has announced that he will attend the training session: Daniel Dziemieszonek – SZAJBAJK.
Residents of Bolesławiec are invited to watch the training session, while amateur cyclists are encouraged to take part in the track ride – to get a taste of what awaits us on 24 March...
Start: 11:00 a.m., the meadow above the Orlen station on Tysiąclecia Street.
