Teachers and students from Primary School No. 1, the Construction School Complex and the Voluntary Labour Corps prepared an artistic performance. Afterwards, a district police officer from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec explained to the participants the dangers to which seniors and people living alone are particularly vulnerable. They discussed scams involving a grandchild, police officer or utility meter reader, as well as the need to exercise caution when dealing with strangers and to look after one’s belongings when visiting cemeteries or allotment gardens.
The officers discussed the operation and use of support tools such as the Moja Komenda app and the National Safety Risk Map, pointing out that anyone can inform the police about dangers and irregularities they have noticed.
The participants received a prevention leaflet and a list of district police officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec. (The residents of the Day Support Centre were happy to share their experience and talk about situations they had encountered.)
Bolesławiec police officers once again joined efforts to improve the safety of seniors.
