The incident took place on Thursday, 8 March, in Mierzwin (Bolesławiec municipality). At around 7:00 a.m., the driver of an Audi, a 20-year-old from Miasto Ceramiki, failed to yield the right of way to a 23-year-old from Bolesławiec municipality, who was travelling in a car of the same make.
A collision occurred, as a result of which the passenger of the second Audi was injured. The man, who probably suffered rib injuries, was taken to hospital. It is not yet known how serious his injuries are.
