On Saturday (February 24), BKS Bolesławiec’s senior team played its third friendly match on the artificial pitch in Zgorzelec. Our team lost 0:1 (0:0) to Sudety Giebułtów, who play in the fourth tier. Despite the low temperature, the weekend test match was enjoyable to watch. Both teams played at a fast pace, and there were also many chances. The opening stages belonged to the players from Giebułtów, who dominated and created several good opportunities. Despite this, Adrian Kulesza came very close to putting BKS ahead, but the Bolesławiec striker’s shot went just wide of the post. Despite the opponents’ advantage, no goals were scored before the break.
After the change of ends, our players came into their own and took the initiative. Marek Majka had an excellent chance, but unfortunately his shot was off target. Towards the end of the match, Sudety Giebułtów once again took the initiative. In the 80th minute, the post of Tomasz Kargul’s goal saved us from conceding. However, four minutes later, following a corner, Sudety scored the winning goal. It was scored by Siergiej Taran. Our team will play its next match on Saturday (March 3) against Włókniarz Mirsk; the match will be held in Frýdlant, Czech Republic.
BKS started the match with: Kargul, Janicki, Smolarek, Jeziorny, Dul, Pirożek, Graczyk, Pochwała, Szaja, Kulesza, Majka.
