One of the items on the agenda of the February session of the Bolesławiec City Council is a vote on a draft resolution concerning the “planned transformation of Municipal Public Preschool No. 3 in Bolesławiec by moving its premises.” The transformation would take place on the last day of the summer holidays. The institution would then move to the current branch of MPP No. 3, located on Dolne Młyny Street.
The justification for the draft resolution states:
[...] a preschool may be transformed by moving its premises by the governing body at the end of the school year, after that body has ensured that the children can continue their preschool education at a public preschool of the same type. The governing body is also required, at least six months before the date of the change, to notify the children’s parents, the competent education superintendent and the executive body of the local government unit responsible for running schools of the given type of its intention to transform the preschool.
[…] Currently, Municipal Public Preschool No. 3 in Bolesławiec, based at 5 Ceramiczna Street, has departments in two buildings: at 5 Ceramiczna Street (one department attended by five- and six-year-old children) and at 42a Dolne Młyny Street (four departments attended by children aged 3 to 6). Due to the change in the education system, it has become necessary to provide rooms for the operation of eight-year Primary School No. 3 and thus vacate the rooms occupied by Municipal Public Preschool No. 3. In the 2018/2019 school year, only seven six-year-old children would remain at 5 Ceramiczna Street. Places for these children will be provided in the building at 42a Dolne Młyny Street.Implementing the resolution will not have financial consequences for the municipal budget.
