Intensive construction work is underway at the viaduct. “The project is divided into several stages. This year, we are beginning construction of a pump track, skatepark and climbing wall,” Bolesławiec mayor Piotr Roman announced in January.
The project will also include ramps; the stairs will be reconstructed, roads around the facilities under construction will be paved, and small architecture elements such as bins, benches and bicycle racks will be installed.
The contractor is Park-M Poland from Stary Sącz. The cost of the works is PLN 5,755,567. The funds come from the city budget. Work on developing the area along the Bóbr River for sports and recreational purposes will continue until the end of May 2018.
The next stage of developing the area along the Bóbr River includes a sensory park, volleyball courts, a changing-room building, playgrounds, an event zone, a barbecue zone, a kayak landing, a beach and parking spaces for cars.
