Criminal investigators from Pieńsk and officers of the Zgorzelec Customs Chamber detained a 55-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County in the Węgliniec municipality. He was transporting tobacco and alcohol in his car without Polish excise-duty markings.
What is more, further illegal goods were found at the 55-year-old’s home. In total, the officers seized more than 500 packs of cigarettes, over 35 kg of tobacco and 40 litres of alcohol of unknown origin.
The Customs Chamber is carrying out further activities in the case. The suspect faces a substantial fine.
