The incident occurred on Friday (2 February) on Kubika Street. The driver of the Skoda, a 29-year-old resident of Gmina Osiecznica, struck the back of a Volkswagen Golf, which then hit a Renault Laguna. As a result of the collision, a fire broke out in the Skoda’s engine compartment. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames. The Golf’s driver and passenger were taken to hospital. Two fire brigade units from Bolesławiec, the emergency medical service and the police took part in the rescue operation. The injured people are undergoing examinations at the hospital. Whether the incident will be classified as a collision or a road accident depends on the severity of their injuries.
