The incident occurred on Friday, January 26, at around 3:45 p.m., in Lubków (Warta Bolesławiecka municipality). As we read on the Facebook profile of volunteer firefighters from Raciborowice:
Our actions involved evacuating residents, checking the rooms for carbon monoxide, and extinguishing the fire in the stove. Due to the lack of access to the flue from above, it became necessary to deploy a mechanical ladder, which was used to extinguish the fire and clean the chimney.
One person suffered smoke inhalation. The firefighters administered oxygen and then handed the person over to medical rescuers.
In addition to the Raciborowice firefighters and the ambulance service, firefighters from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec also took part in the operation.
