TOP Bolesławiec, who are fighting for promotion to the second league, secured their fourth consecutive victory and moved up to fourth place in the competition standings. TOP defeated KKS VB Leasing Siechnice 93–70 away from home.
The TOP team made a very nervous start. The hosts took a 4–0 lead. The game then became more even. Until the end of the first half, the Siechnice team tried to play quickly and creatively, but the Bolesławiec players did not give them any room. Ultimately, both teams went into the break with the hosts leading 45–36.
The third quarter was decisive for the entire game. TOP’s players completely overwhelmed their opponents. Very high accuracy from three-point range (six of the eleven attempts were successful!), combination play under the basket, fast-break attacks and a 3:2 zone defense meant that TOP won the quarter by as much as 26–6!
In the fourth quarter, coach Piotr Rydz gave all the players a chance to play (the only player who did not appear in the game was the injured center Łukasz Habratowski). Despite the changes on the court, the Bolesławiec players controlled the course of the game. Two seconds before the end of the match, Bartosz Doliński scored one-handed from behind the center line. According to observers, the shot could have been the highlight of an NBA game.
