The Boguszów Gorce Zachód, Bolesławiec, Imbramowice, Kąty Wrocławskie, Malczyce, Smolec, Szklarska Poręba Górna and Wałbrzych Główny railway stations will undergo a major renovation, we read on the website of Polskie Koleje Państwowe.

The buildings will contain customer service offices, carrier facilities, public spaces and office rooms. The investments will include, among other things, the replacement of installations and window and door joinery, the construction of utility connections, façade renovation and roofing works. The installation of monitoring systems will increase the level of security. Parking spaces for cars and bicycle racks will also be provided near the buildings.

The stations will be adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility, including people with disabilities. The buildings will feature guiding paths for blind and visually impaired people, signage and multisensory boards. The toilets will also be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

The design work is scheduled to be completed at the turn of 2018 and 2019. The service will be carried out by An Archi Group. Due to the historic character of some of the buildings, the design work will be conducted in consultation with the heritage conservator.
