20 December Wiktor Nowak, a trumpet student of Krzysztof Spiesz, won first prize at the 12th Brass Instruments Festival in Kolbuszowa (Podkarpackie Voivodeship)! As usual, his twin brother Walter Nowak accompanied him on the piano and received an honorable mention. Walter is a student of Michał Błaszczyk. The competition was attended by 90 performers from 24 music schools across Poland.
Wiktor and Walter Nowak have been students of the Feliks Nowowiejski State Music School of First and Second Degree in Zgorzelec for four years. Wiktor plays the trumpet, while Walter plays the piano. The brothers have formed a very well-coordinated duo, which has already been noticed and recognized at several prestigious competitions. Our heartfelt congratulations to the students and their teachers, as well as to their parents!
Wiktor and Walter Nowak can be heard during the Carnival Concert, which will take place on 13 February at 5:00 p.m. at the Municipal Cultural Centre in Zgorzelec. We warmly invite you today! Admission is free.
