Comments on the skatepark project planned for the City of Ceramics appeared on the Facebook profile of Slo Concept. One skater wrote: “A small breath of fresh air would be useful when it comes to the obstacles themselves. Those visible in the visualization are classic designs that have been done to death. The park is huge, but so what—the area is not what matters, but the creative arrangement of the obstacles [...]. Look at legal/municipal/street spots abroad; no one makes concrete behemoths anymore that later stand empty. Think about a place for spectators.”

Another skater agreed:

A small funbox for learning to clear a ramp while performing tricks would also be useful. There is also a lack of greenery. [...] Unusual elements would also be welcome [...]; then the park looks interesting in recordings, rather than identical to a hundred others.

As istotne.pl Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for the Bolesławiec municipal authorities, told the website, work is under way on the final concept for developing the area by the viaduct. Many details may still change. We will certainly return to this topic.

Let us recall. Among the tasks planned in the budget of the Bolesławiec Urban Municipality for 2018 was the development of the area along the Bóbr for sports and recreational purposes. This investment will be carried out in stages. The following will be completed next year:

  • pumptrack
  • skatepark
  • climbing wall
  • ramps, reconstruction of the stairs
  • delivery and installation of small-architecture elements—bins, benches and bicycle racks
  • surfacing of the roads around the structures under construction with crushed stone.

Below are visualizations, which we are sharing with the permission of Slo Concept.

The investment is worth more than PLN 5.5 million. The following will be completed in the next stage:

  • sensory park
  • volleyball courts
  • changing-room building
  • playgrounds
  • event area
  • barbecue area
  • kayak dock
  • beach
  • parking spaces.
