The incident occurred on Christmas Eve in the evening on Karola Miarki Street in Bolesławiec. The 74-year-old resident of Bolesławiec hit a woman with his car and fled the scene.
The man was arrested. He has already been charged with causing an accident and fleeing the scene. Under the new regulations, he faces up to 4.5 years in prison.
The injured woman, a 79-year-old from Bolesławiec, was taken to hospital. She has a broken arm and fractured pelvic bones.
