– We invite everyone on Tuesday, December 19 to the Complex of General and Vocational Schools in Bolesławiec at 6 Komuny Paryskiej Street for the traditional Christmas Fair with Heart – representatives of ZSOiZ say. – The event is organized in cooperation with head chefs from Lower Silesian restaurants and hotels and aims to help children.
This year, as part of the fair, the school community wants to support the rehabilitation of little Olivier. The boy was born on October 27, 2016 – several months prematurely, as an extremely premature infant with a survival chance of around 5%, weighing 510 g at 23 weeks of gestation. He scored just 2 points on the 10-point Apgar scale.
He was so delicate that even the slightest touch caused him pain. He was born in severe asphyxia with congenital pneumonia. He was diagnosed, among other things, with bronchopulmonary dysplasia, intestinal obstruction, a grade II hemorrhage, anemia, retinopathy, a right-sided inguinal hernia, hydrocele, cleft palate, osteopenia of prematurity, polycystic kidney disease and sepsis.
He spent long months connected to a ventilator. He underwent intestinal resection surgery. He also had a broken arm.
Today Olivier is almost 14 months old and needs intensive treatment and rehabilitation. Unfortunately, the latter is not reimbursed.
