On Thursday, January 8, the Talented Gallery hosted the opening of another exhibition from the “Presentations” series. This time, four students of Magdalena Konieczna presented their work: Barbara Lipińska, Ewa Lipińska, Kamil Nizioł and Dawid Wójcik.
This is the young artists’ first exhibition. Their works vary greatly, both in terms of subject matter and form. The exhibition features paintings, pencil sketches and batiks. One of the exhibits is a model of a modern house. “It was created especially for this exhibition,” says Dawid Wójcik. “We wanted to present something three-dimensional, so that it would be more interesting,” adds Kamil Nizioł. Both plan to become architects. “My works mainly involve exploring subjects similar to those included in architecture entrance exams,” Dawid explains.
Sisters Barbara and Ewa have not yet made definite plans, but they do not rule out pursuing careers in the visual arts.
“The Presentations series aims to show that young people create,” Magdalena Konieczna, an MDK teacher, told IstotneInformacje.pl. She adds that the Talented Gallery is open to those who would like to present their work to a wider audience. “Not everyone knows this, but the MDK Gallery is very active. Most of the people who have exhibited here are either already studying or planning to pursue art-related fields,” the teacher emphasizes.
