The Lower Silesian Voivode Paweł Hreniak presented the new names of streets in Lower Silesia during a press conference. The names will be changed under the decommunization law. By December 13, 2017, the official had issued 19 substitute orders, under which street names in Lower Silesia will be changed. (This action is based on the Act prohibiting the promotion of communism or another totalitarian system through the names of organizational units, auxiliary units of municipalities, structures, facilities and public utility equipment, as well as monuments).

In Bolesławiec, only Marian Buczek Street will be decommunized. It will soon be called Tadek Jasiński Street.

A good change?
