On Wrocławska Street in Legnica, officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica stopped an Audi for inspection. Its driver turned out to be a 32-year-old resident of Legnica. The man had no identification document with him. What is more, it emerged that his registration certificate had been confiscated and that the man himself was subject to a court-imposed ban on driving any motor vehicles until July 2020.

To confirm the driver's details, the police went with him to his partner. At the scene, they checked the identity of a 36-year-old woman, who confirmed the 32-year-old's identity. Interestingly, the driver's common-law partner, who had ignored the court-imposed ban, turned out to be a wanted person herself—she had to serve an eight-month prison sentence for fraud.

The woman was taken into police custody. The man will answer for his actions before the court. He faces up to five years behind bars.
