Passers-by saw the train on fire in the Municipal Park in Legnica at around 1:40 p.m. Firefighters extinguished the blaze. However, one of the carriages was completely destroyed. The extent of the damage is being assessed. Municipal police officers secured the area.
The train, along with other play equipment, was donated to the city by Schiever Polska on July 23, 2010, on the first anniversary of the hurricane that destroyed the park.
