At 1:30 a.m., police received information that a loud party was taking place in the parish hall on Orzeszkowej Street in Bolesławiec and that the music was preventing nearby residents from sleeping. Officers confirmed that a party was indeed taking place in the hall and that music was playing. One of the organizers of the parish’s late-night St Andrew’s Day party turned out to be Bolesławiec councillor Łukasz Molak (34).

“The Parish of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ organized its annual St Andrew’s Day party, as it does every year. At 1:45 a.m., the police arrived and asked us to turn down the music. The music was turned down. The party had been planned to last until 2:00 a.m. anyway. Two more songs were played. The officers themselves said that it was indeed quieter and that we were no longer disturbing the nighttime quiet, and they left. We ended the party as planned,” councillor Łukasz Molak said.

As we learned, the police did not issue the councillor with a fine for disturbing the nighttime quiet and concluded the proceedings with a warning.
