On Tuesday, December 5, local government officials accepted the 1.2-kilometre road in Szczytnica (Warta municipality). The investment was worth approximately PLN 500,000. Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality contributed approximately PLN 300,000, with the County providing the remainder. – Cooperation with the county government has always been good – says Mirosław Haniszewski, head of Warta municipality. – With the well-being of its residents in mind, the municipality has always emphasised building new surfaces also on county roads, because we knew that the County was not very wealthy. We strongly supported this local government; there were investments in which we financed 80–90% of the project.
He adds: – This road provides very good access from the Szczytnica housing estate to national road no. 94.
This is the last county road investment to be completed this year. – The road in Szczytnica has two fathers: the Municipality and the County – emphasises Bolesławiec County head Karol Stasik. – When we ask residents what is most important to them, the traditional answer is not healthcare or education, but precisely roads.
The investment was carried out by Sudeckie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowych. Next year, Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality and the County will renovate the Warta–Wartowice road.
