The best vocational teacher of this year's edition was Krzysztof Bednarz. Second place went to Marzena Ostrowska-Drozdek. Third place was awarded to Andrzej Laudański.
The distinction went to Teresa Sabadasz.
Competition summary
For the eleventh time, the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Entrepreneurship in Bolesławiec, together with Bolesławiec County, has organized the competition for the “Best Vocational Teacher”.
The aim of the competition is to select craft businesses that comply with legal labor protection and occupational health and safety rules when employing juvenile workers and implement practical vocational training programs, thereby achieving the highest quality in students’ vocational education.
In accordance with the competition rules, vocational school principals selected 11 of the 159 vocational teachers.
Nominees:
- Teresa Sabadasz, who runs the “Europa” Restaurant, which trains students in the chef profession
- Marzena Ostrowska-Drozdek, who runs “Kasia” Hairdressing, training students in the hairdresser profession
- Katarzyna Cołokidzi, who runs the “Petrochemia” Restaurant, training students in the chef profession
- Helena Kozioł, who runs the “Zielony dom” Guesthouse, also training students in the chef profession
- Krzysztof Bednarz, who runs “Instal-Serwis”, which trains students as sanitary installation fitters
- Andrzej Laudański, who runs “Nowa” Confectionery, training students in the confectioner profession
- Karol Kowalski and Kornel Brodzikowski, who run the “Koka” Hairdressing Salon s.c., training students in the hairdresser profession
- Rafał Tomczyk Roofing and Sheet-Metal Construction, Plastering and Bricklaying, training students as building installation and finishing works fitters
- Andrzej Deberny Tire Service, which trains students as motor vehicle mechanics
- Mirosław Seneszyn Transport Company Import-Export, training students as motor vehicle mechanics
- Mieczysław Żuraw General Construction Services, training students as building installation and finishing works fitters
The Board of the Association of Polish Crafts sent congratulatory letters on the occasion of the nominees’ selection for the “Best Vocational Teacher” competition. The letters were presented by Zbigniew Ładziński, a member of the Board of the Association of Polish Crafts.
The competition jury, composed of:
- Chairwoman – Alicja Krzyszczak – Head of the Education, Culture and Sport Department of the District Office in Bolesławiec,
- Deputy Chairwoman – Marzena Kruk – Senior of the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Entrepreneurship in Bolesławiec,
- Renata Czerwińska – Chief Specialist at the Media and Promotion Office of the Bolesławiec County Office,
- Grażyna Matczak – Deputy Senior of the Guild,
- Jan Stawiany – Member of the Guild Board
The distinction went to Teresa Sabadasz, who has run the Europa Restaurant in Kruszyn since November 22, 1999, training students in the chef profession
Third place went to Andrzej Laudański. Since December 1, 2003, he has been the owner of “Nowa” Confectionery in Bolesławiec. He is a practical vocational training teacher in confectionery. Always open to his students’ problems, he provides financial support to students from impoverished families.
Second place went to Marzena Ostrowska-Drozdek, who has run a hairdressing and wig-making business since September 16, 2008; she is an exemplary hairdressing vocational teacher, fully devoted to her students
Krzysztof Bednarz was named the Best Vocational Teacher of this year's edition. Since October 10, 1996, he has been the owner of the renowned Instal-Servis business in Bolesławiec; for nearly 20 years, he has trained juvenile workers as sanitary network and installation fitters. Students completing their three-year vocational training receive excellent or very good grades in the journeyman’s examination.
