A Reader wrote to us, drawing attention to the renovation of Marynarska and Asnyka Streets:

This renovation is some kind of mistake. One excavator and two people. It has been a little better in recent days, but the men do not really know what they are supposed to do. It took a month to remove the curbs and lay them again. The deadline was apparently November 17. And even the pavements are unfinished.

– In the initial phase, there were problems with adjusting the curbs. They were standing on the ground, and additional supports had to be made to set them in place – explains Andrzej Szymkowiak, head of the Municipal Roads Authority in Legnica. – The Lotnicza–Chojnowska pavement had been laid on clay, so additional stabilization was necessary. The LEGMAN network runs beneath this pavement (it was not originally planned). The ground had to be replaced there, which also extended the duration of the work.

The director adds: – The contractor has now opened up a larger work front and reinforced the construction team with additional staff and equipment, significantly speeding up the work. We assume that by the holidays, the carriageways of both streets will be passable across their full width.
