The incident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. A mother and child were in one of the houses on Okrzei Street. The mother began to feel unwell. She managed to take the child to the neighbors and open the windows. She did not lose consciousness.
The fire brigade and ambulance service were called to the scene. Firefighters determined that the carbon monoxide level in the ventilated rooms exceeded 150 ppm, so it had certainly been higher earlier.
