Saturday’s 14th-round match in the Jelenia Góra regional league between BKS and Stella was played in very difficult weather conditions. It rained for almost the entire match. The waterlogged pitch and wet grass caused the ball to behave unpredictably, slowing down and speeding up at unexpected moments. In the 17th minute, a precise shot by Adrian Kulesza put BKS ahead. The Bolesławiec team enjoyed the lead for only two minutes. Antoni Podobiński equalized. In the 22nd minute, the visitors were already leading 2–1. Roman Sidorski sent the ball into the BKS goal. The determined Bolesławiec team equalized in the 32nd minute. Adrian Biały was then added to the scoresheet.
After the teams changed ends, leaden clouds gathered over Spółdzielcza and it began to pour as if from the proverbial watering can. The downpour lasted about 20 minutes. The hosts made better use of the very difficult playing conditions and, thanks to Adrian Kulesza’s second goal (74th minute), took a 3–2 lead and held on to it until the final whistle. The match cost Sebastian Tylutki’s players a great deal of energy. Stella, who fought until the end, also had its chances. During the match, shots by the visitors struck Dawid Kizyma’s goalpost twice. On this day, however, BKS prevailed and the three points stayed in Bolesławiec. Thanks to the victory, the Bolesławiec team also retained its position as table runners-up. Just behind BKS, in third place and two points behind, is Piast Wykroty, which defeated GKS Warta Bolesławiecka 2–0 at home today. Victoria Ruszów remains the league leader, with a five-point advantage over the Spółdzielcza-based team. Next week, BKS will play its final away match of this round of the competition. The Bolesławiec team’s opponent will be Pogoń Świerzawa.
