November 3 Mateusz Golsztajn took part in his next fight in Thailand. The bout took place in the city of Kamphaeng Phet, in the north of the country. The Bolesławiec fighter’s opponent was Thai Ryangpet Sitkruciak. It was Mateusz’s 25th fight in his career.

The fight was intense and closely contested. Ultimately, Mateusz won with a powerful left hook straight to his opponent’s jaw in the fourth round. After such a clean and powerful blow, his opponent was unable to get up; it was all over.

So far, Mateusz has trained and fought in seven different regions of Thailand. He spent two years in the birthplace of muay thai. He continues to develop, train and fight. It is his passion, which has lasted for 10 years.

We give him the floor:

Another fight, another experience. I trained hard and diligently for the fight, as always. Otherwise, there is no point in entering the ring. It is a dangerous and unpredictable sport. You have to be ready for anything.

A strong and fast opponent. It was not easy to hit him. He kept backing away and did not let me develop my combinations of strikes. He attacked strongly with his knees. His knee strikes were good. And that scores the most points in muay thai. That was his advantage.

But eventually I managed to hit him with a powerful blow. It landed cleanly and knocked him out. He hit the mat with great force, and the fight was over. It was a very brutal ending. I am glad I managed to win. Every victory after a tough fight gives you wings and motivation. Especially when it ends in such an impressive way. People really like it and it provides a lot of excitement.

Of course, I felt sorry for him and sympathised with him. But that is sport. It could just as easily have happened to me. A moment of inattention is enough. I always take that into account.

A fighter’s life is not easy. Everyone knows why they enter the ring and what may happen there. Every fighter deserves respect. It is a hard way to make a living. I am carrying on doing my thing. Training, training and more training, as well as further fights and experience, lie ahead of me. There is still a lot of hard work to do and many fights to have. You have to do your thing and not give up. That is what passion is about. When you give your whole heart and commitment, it has to bear fruit sooner or later. The game is worth the candle. I will keep doing my thing and moving forward. But time and life will show everything. Thank you and best regards.
