The competition took place on 12 and 13 September in Łódź. UKS Korio Bolesławiec was represented by two athletes – Oliwia Czuchraj and Kamil Dychała.

Oliwia Czuchraj competed in the senior women’s category up to 55 kg. The Bolesławiec athlete competed in both the K-1 and Kick Light formats. She proved to be the best in both, winning two Polish championship titles.

What is more, the UKS Korio Bolesławiec athlete was also named the best female athlete of the entire tournament in the K-1 format.

Kamil Dychała also fought in Łódź, competing in the K-1 format in the senior category up to 75 kg. Unfortunately, the athlete suffered a knee injury during the warm-up.

Despite the injury, Kamil decided to take part in the fight. Because of the injury, he could practically use only boxing techniques, which was a serious limitation in the K-1 format. As club representatives emphasize, it is extremely difficult to win a tournament in this format without being able to use kicks effectively.

Despite the adversity, Kamil Dychała won a bronze medal. As a result, the UKS Korio Bolesławiec representatives finished the championships with three medals – two golds and one bronze.

The athletes were prepared by coach Dariusz Dychała. Athletes from UKS Korio Bolesławiec train in the gymnasium of the Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych in Bolesławiec.

It was a very successful weekend for the Bolesławiec club – two championship titles for Oliwia Czuchraj, the award for the tournament’s best female athlete and Kamil Dychała’s bronze.
