On Wednesday, November 8, we asked whether you thought there were too few waste bins in Bolesławiec. Almost 93% of participants in our poll believe that there are. Comment by Grażyna Strzyżewska, deputy head of the Municipal Housing Management Facility in Bolesławiec:
Property owners are responsible for cleanliness on their premises, including along public roads (district, provincial and national roads). The Municipal Housing Management Facility in Bolesławiec maintains cleanliness in areas owned by the Municipality of Bolesławiec. These areas include, in particular: city parks, green spaces (e.g. city promenades, squares, etc.), the boulevard along the Bóbr, green spaces around residential buildings in which the municipality owns shares, playgrounds, municipal forests, municipal roads (including pavements and the green spaces alongside them), and public transport stops. Maintaining these areas in a clean condition includes, among other things, equipping them with waste bins and emptying them frequently. More than 550 bins have been placed in the above-mentioned areas, including approximately 100 for dog waste, approximately 50 at public transport stops and approximately 400 in other areas, including along municipal road verges.
The official emphasizes:
According to the assessment of the employees who empty these bins, they largely contain bags of municipal waste rather than small pieces of litter. In our opinion, there are enough bins in the areas where MZGM maintains cleanliness, but if residents believe there are too few, we will add more where possible. In this regard, requests should be submitted to the Facility.
