As part of the Erasmus Plus project, 32 students from courses including digital graphic processes technician, ICT technician and electrical technician travelled to Seville for placements. – The project was carried out as part of two mobilities. The first, held at the turn of March and April, concerned computer game design, while the second, held in September this year, was devoted to renewable energy sources – representatives of the Bolesławiec ZSE say.

They add: – During their placements, students gain not only professional experience but also improve their language skills by speaking English and Spanish. In their free time, they learn about Spanish culture and customs. They also have the opportunity to admire street flamenco performances during afternoon walks; they travel around and explore Andalusia, fragrant with orange blossoms, visiting places such as Gibraltar, Tavira (Portugal), Granada, Málaga, Cádiz, Ronda and, of course, Seville.

At the end, the students receive certificates confirming their knowledge of Spanish, certificates of competences acquired during their placements abroad, issued by the host organisation, and Europass Mobility certificates confirming their European learning pathway and completion of an international placement.

ZSE teaching staff:

October is the month in which we complete more than two years of work on the project entitled “New technologies supporting the acquisition of competences in line with new trends and requirements on the labour market”, while also beginning work on a new project: “New technologies as an opportunity to acquire key European competences”. As part of it, the first group will leave for placements in Spain in May 2018, while the next will go in September 2018.

It should be added that ours was the only school in Powiat Bolesławiecki to obtain funding for international placements as part of the Erasmus Plus project, Action 1. The application received 96 out of the 100 points available! Over a period of five years, more than 80 students from the Electronic Schools Complex have left for placements abroad.

The Erasmus Plus project coordinator at the Electronic Schools Complex for the past four years has been Elżbieta Niedźwiecka.
