A Reader called us and shared his observations about the roundabout currently being built on provincial road 363, between Bolesławiec and Łaziska. According to the Bolesławiec resident, it was designed in such a way that truck drivers carrying large loads will not be able to pass through it. – I spent some time in southern Europe, where they build beautiful, passable roundabouts. Here, they put up bottlenecks – says the Bolesławiec resident. – I would make the designer try to drive through there with a large load. I wonder whether he would manage it.
– The intersections along Bolesławiec’s south-eastern bypass were designed in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Transport and Maritime Economy of 2 March 1999 on the technical conditions to be met by public roads and their location (within the territory of the Republic of Poland) – comments Konrad Antkowiak, spokesperson for the Lower Silesian Roads and Railways Service. – In addition, DSDiK in Wrocław received a final decision from the Lower Silesian Voivode authorising the implementation of this road investment.
