This year's Bolesławiec Star of Kindness began at 3:00 p.m. On Sunday afternoon, residents of Bolesławiec heard Christmas greetings from the city authorities, the county authorities, the rural municipality, Gmina Gromadka, priests and nuns. After the greetings, scouts presented Mayor Piotr Roman with the Bethlehem Light of Peace.
Following the official greetings, representatives of the authorities went out to the residents with Christmas wafers. Restaurateurs prepared a culinary surprise for the residents of Bolesławiec. Visitors could try łazanki, pierogi and Christmas borscht.
The Christmas nativity scene with live animals was especially popular among children. The Bolesławiec Star of Kindness concluded with a concert of Christmas carols and pastorales performed by the Moment group.
