The Christmas Eve gathering of members and supporters of the Ziemia Bolesławiecka Association took place on Thursday, December 18, at the Wedding Palace. Before everyone gathered at the Christmas Eve table, Father Andrzej Jarosiewicz blessed the Christmas wafers and gave his blessing to the participants.
Christmas is a time for meetings and reflection. In this special atmosphere, greetings were extended to the participants by Association president Jan Cołokidzi, Mayor Piotr Roman and City Council chairwoman Janina Piestrak-Babijczuk. Afterwards, everyone gathered shared the Christmas wafer, wishing one another good health, peaceful holidays and every success in the coming year, 2009.
The festive atmosphere of the gathering was underscored by Christmas carols performed by participants in the vocal workshop at the Youth Cultural Centre.
