We have written many times in these pages about the mess that litterbugs leave in various places around our city. We have also often asked for comment on the matter—sometimes from the municipal police, sometimes from Miejski Zakład Gospodarki Mieszkaniowej. We understand that this problem cannot be eliminated completely. We know that officers cannot remain on duty in one place around the clock. So perhaps it is worth—possibly somewhat naively—appealing once again to fans of spending time outdoors (and drinking) to take their rubbish with them.
