A 42-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was charged with three offenses in the case, while the other detainee will face one burglary charge. Although the suspects acted separately, they had a similar goal: stealing valuable items left by their owners in cellar rooms.
The 42-year-old stole, among other things, a mushroom dryer, shoes, a grinder, a saw and a halogen light. The total losses were estimated at more than PLN 2,000. The 35-year-old, meanwhile, stole items including a welding machine, two screwdrivers, a saw and a grinder. In this case, the victim estimated the losses at PLN 2,800.
Police determined where the criminals had hidden the stolen items. The recovered property will be returned to its rightful owners. The arrested men have already been charged with burglary, for which they face a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
