Görlitz and Zgorzelec have a very long history, rich in various events. Some of them are authentic facts confirmed in documents. But there are also many stories passed down for centuries by word of mouth from one generation to the next, with little or nothing to do with reality.
They are products of extraordinary imagination, and sometimes superstition. Nevertheless, they attract interest and remain alive. Therefore, during our walk through Görlitz, we will follow in the footsteps of the Night Blacksmith, the Three-Legged Dog and the Rebels from Behind the Red Gate, where an excellent exhibition devoted to Lusatian legends is currently on display.
This may be supplemented by an individual visit to the Lusatian Museum and a tour of the exhibition “The Three-Legged Dog and Other Lusatian Legends”.
Registration at the Lusatian Museum in Zgorzelec, at 15 Daszyńskiego Street, in person or by telephone: Tel. 75 648 24 24. Cost: PLN 12 per person. Please purchase tickets by October 20, 2017, at the museum. If a ticket is not purchased by the specified date, the registered person will be removed from the list. Each participant must show their ticket to the tour guide. Each participant undertakes to arrange their own insurance for the duration of the trip (covering medical expenses outside the Republic of Poland and personal accident insurance).
