The event was organised as part of the original prevention programme “I Choose Life! I Don’t Take Drugs!”, implemented by the Voluntary Labour Corps in Bolesławiec and co-financed by the Bolesławiec City Office.
“The actors from the Galana Artistic Agency, who came to us from Kraków, performed the preventive and educational play ‘ABC Mocarza’ for the young people,” said educators from the Bolesławiec Voluntary Labour Corps. The performance addressed the problem of legal highs. The idyllic life of a married couple—Beata and Robert—was disrupted by the latter’s unusual behaviour: aggression, hallucinations and mood swings. After a month of sobriety, the man returned to taking legal highs. The consequences of addiction? Robbing his family, losing his job and, ultimately, complete physical deterioration and irreversible changes in the brain.
Voluntary Labour Corps educators:
The young people watched the performance attentively. After the show, the Corps participants applauded the actors enthusiastically. At the end, the actors spoke about various cases involving people who use legal highs. They also addressed health complications and death.
